HUADE INSIGHTS | Why What Really Determines a Chick’s Future May Happen Before Hatch, Not After?
HUADE Biotechnology Center
Many people believe that a chick’s growth truly begins the moment it hatches and starts eating feed.
In fact, how fast it grows, how efficiently it converts feed into body weight, and how healthy its gut remains throughout its life are all partly determined before the chick even hatches. If we compare a broiler’s life to a marathon, the final few days of incubation, together with the first 10 days after hatch, are more like the starting phase that can determine the outcome of the race. This is a very short period, yet it is far more important than many people realize.
HUADE BIOTECH VIV Exhibition Recap | We Look Forward to Meeting Again
HUADE
From August 19–21, three days of exhibition came to a successful close.
The HUADE BIOTECH booth stayed lively throughout the show. Cup after cup of tea was served, while visitors picked up our samples, examined them closely, and engaged in in-depth conversations with our team.
We came as promised, and we talked as promised.
Every chair welcomed someone who came with genuine questions, ideas, and interest.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, took a seat, shared a conversation, and spent time with us.
HUADE INSIGHTS | Is Fish Disease Becoming Harder to Prevent? The Real First Line of Defense May be Lost Not in the Gills, but in Natural Immunity
HUADE Biotechnology Center
In recent years, a growing body of research on teleost innate immunity has begun to focus on a critical question:
What determines whether fish are prone to disease is not merely the external environment, but also the fish's own natural defense capacity—i.e., their innate immune competence.
4 Days To Go | Huade Biotech Is Ready For VIV — We’re Waiting To Meet You
From August 19–21, the 18th VIV Select China – Asia International Intensive Animal Husbandry Exhibition will take place at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
HUADE BIOTECH is ready to welcome you at Hall H1, Booth B1723. The tea is ready, the samples are on display, and we’re looking forward to meeting you.
HUADE INSIGHTS | Is a Cleaner Poultry House Always a Healthier One? The Real Goal May Not Be Sterility
HUADE Biotechnology Center
Some farms maintain rigorous disinfection protocols but still experience fluctuations in flock health, while others with less-than-ideal environmental conditions rarely face major disease outbreaks. So, what makes the difference?

HUADE INSIGHTS | Why Is E. coli So Difficult to Control in Poultry Houses? The Answer May Go Beyond Disinfection
HUADE Biotechnology Center
Is disinfection alone enough to control E. coli in poultry houses? Emerging research suggests the answer may be no. Beyond biosecurity and antimicrobial strategies, flock resilience depends on avian β-defensins (AvBDs), microbial homeostasis, and the bird's innate defense system. In this latest HUADE INSIGHTS article, we explore why maintaining a healthy microbiome may be the key to reducing recurrent colibacillosis and improving long-term flock health.
HUADE INSIGHTS | Why Does Bovine Pneumonia Keep Coming Back? The Missing Piece May Be the Animal's Natural Defense System
HUADE Biotechnology Center
Some animals require multiple rounds of treatment, while others within the same group develop similar respiratory symptoms one after another. Treatment costs continue to rise, yet the disease often seems impossible to eliminate completely.
Respiratory pathogens, antimicrobial resistance, and transportation stress are frequently blamed. While these are all important contributing factors, field observations tell a more complex story. Among cattle transported under the same conditions, exposed to the same environment, some animals remain healthy, while others recover rapidly even after infection.
If pathogens alone determined disease outcomes, why do such differences exist?

The Role and Therapeutic Potential of Host Defense Peptides - The Innate Immune Effects of Cationic Host Defense Peptides

The primary role of natural cationic peptides in host defense has become increasingly compelling. While these peptides are involved in direct antimicrobial activity, their concentrations in many parts of the body (e.g., mucosal surfaces) are inconsistent with the levels required for direct antimicrobial (killing) effects. Recent data suggest that these peptides play a significant role in coordinating innate immunity.

For many years, cationic antimicrobial peptides (CAMPs) were thought to function solely by increasing membrane permeability at very high concentrations, far above their minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). It is now established that many peptides are active at much lower effective concentrations and exhibit significant heterogeneity in their interactions with specific membrane systems. Although the mechanisms of peptides that target non-membrane sites remain incompletely understood, they appear to involve multiple targets. This multi-target nature contributes to their high efficacy and the low probability of resistance development against CAMPs.

As a key component of innate immunity, cationic antimicrobial peptides demonstrate remarkable structural diversity while maintaining broad-spectrum biological activity. These peptides are broadly categorized into several structural classes – including amphipathic α-helical peptides, β-sheet peptides stabilized by disulfide bonds, and unique non-typical structural peptides – each with distinct membrane interaction mechanisms and potential therapeutic applications.  Ongoing research continues to reveal their significance in host defense systems and their promising role in developing novel anti-infective and immunomodulatory agents.
