What is Tipek (Broiler)? |

|
Tipek (Broiler) is a functional bioactive peptide product used as a broiler feed additive. Its core active ingredient is recombinant Gallus Epidermal Growth Factor (gEGF) — gene-engineered and produced via precision yeast fermentation, with a sequence identical to the bird's own endogenous EGF, ensuring maximum receptor binding affinity and biological activity in poultry. EGF receptors (EGFR) are expressed throughout the broiler intestinal tract on both the luminal and basolateral surfaces of villus enterocytes. After hatching, as the yolk-derived EGF supply is exhausted, the intestinal tract depends increasingly on feed-borne and endogenous EGF to sustain its development. In intensive broiler production, high-density rearing, mycotoxin exposure, pathogen pressure, and heat stress continuously challenge intestinal integrity — frequently exceeding the gut's natural repair capacity. Tipek delivers consistent, biologically active gEGF to activate EGFR-mediated intestinal development and repair pathways throughout the grow-out cycle. |

How Does Tipek (Broiler) Work?
gEGF binds to EGF receptors (EGFR — ErbB1) expressed along the full length of the broiler intestine. This binding triggers EGFR dimerization and tyrosine kinase autophosphorylation, activating four downstream signal transduction pathways (Ras/MAPK, PI3K/AKT, PLC-γ/PKC, and STATS) that drive measurable outcomes across intestinal structure and function. Promote Intestinal Development Repair Epithelial Injury Rapidly repairs intestinal epithelial damage caused by pathogens, mycotoxins, or production stress. Restores tight junction integrity (occludin, claudin) to prevent leaky gut and secondary infection. Research in Eimeria-challenged broilers shows EGF significantly upregulates tight junction protein gene expression, digestive enzyme secretion, and nutrient transporter activity — attenuating the negative effects of coccidiosis on gut function. Strengthen Mucosal Immune Defense Enhances mucosal immune function by promoting Paneth cell activity and mucosal IgA secretion. Strengthens the intestinal barrier's resistance to pathogen colonization and reduces the risk of secondary infections following stress or disease challenge. Improve Feed Utilization Stimulates digestive enzyme secretion (trypsin, chymotrypsin, alkaline phosphatase, sucrase, maltase, lactase) and promotes nutrient transporter expression. Improves the digestion and absorption of energy, protein, and minerals — the direct mechanism behind lower FCR and better weight gain. gEGF is not an antibiotic and does not induce resistance. Its mechanism — receptor-mediated cellular signaling — is fully compatible with antibiotic-free (ABF) production programs. |
